Cats and dogs might pick up worms from their mothers, other pets, and other animals. There are several types of worms that will cause disease ranging from weight loss to severe life-threatening diarrhea.
To offer the most comprehensive protection for cats and dogs we generally recommend monthly treatment with a de-worming tablet as early as two weeks of age, and subsequent de-worming every one to six months in adults.
For fleas we determine the best programme tailored specifically to your pet and its lifestyle. We have a wide range of products to suit different pets and owners; in general we recommend a spot-on applied to the back of the neck on a monthly basis.
The lifestyle part is not a formality. An indoor cat that never meets another animal and a dog that walks in the street every day do not need the same schedule, and treating both as the same is how one gets over-treated and the other gets missed.

Common questions
My cat never goes outside. Does it still need this?
Usually less often, not never. Fleas come in on people and on other animals, and some worms come from what a cat catches indoors. We would set a lighter schedule rather than none.
I found one flea. Is that a problem?
The one you see is the small part of it. Most of a flea population is eggs and larvae in the bedding and the carpet, so treating the animal without treating the home tends to come back.
